Evaluation

The project took only a couple of weeks, while the potential to help the participant would have been better if there was more time. During the codesign, it was quite difficult to come up with solutions which were actually helping the user. 

 

Because his problems are really specific and unique, the already existing projects on the market are not applicable. Next to that, there should be created something simple and very personal. Going through this process was quite a struggle in itself, for multiple possibilities had to be explored, and this had to be processed into a working prototype. 

 

When the requirements are evaluated, it can be stated that the project is moveable around the house by the user himself, for the product will have wheels at one side. Next to that, the product can be used without any help from other people. The product supports the the user while the legs are stretched for the user is able to sit. Due to the front support, the user will not fall. The product will not be able to keep the distance between the knees. However, if the flaps are further redesigned, this might be possible. For the chair can move in height, the product is able to adapt when the muscles stretch. The materials are not based on sustainable materials, for this was not relevant at that time to take into account. The sitting part will be provided with soft material, and will therefore not harm the user.
